FSU Counts Program Offers Free Math Tutoring

Sep 03, 2013

The Fairmont State University Counts program is planning for its fall session to be held at Fairmont State. The free math tutoring program is offered to fourth- through eighth-grade students who are experiencing math difficulties.

The program is supervised by Pam Kabulski and coordinated by Amy Drvar. The one hour/once a week sessions, which run for eight weeks, are offered Wednesdays or Thursdays at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. The program starts Sept. 25/26 and runs through Nov. 13/14.

Fairmont State tutors, who are proficient in math, aid each child in developing his/her math skills. Kabulski, a Marion County math teacher, is the on-site supervisor for the program and will be present to assist each tutor and student.

For more information, contact Amy Drvar, Assistant Director of Career Development, at (304) 367-4644 or amy.drvar@fairmontstate.edu.
