PROMISE Recipients Learn How to Renew Their Scholarship

PROMISE Scholar Freshmen are invited to meet with their PROMISE Academic and Financial Aid Advisors, as well as the Director of Community Service Learning at one of two meetings scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 12:30p.m. in Hardway Hall (Rm) 219 and Wednesday, October 19, 2011  at 3:00p.m. in Library MMB.  The meetings should last approximately 45 minutes.  Pizza will be served.

Dr. Angela Schwer, PROMISE Academic Advisor, and Mr. George Yanchak, Assistant Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships will explain the criteria for PROMISE renewal and academic services available to PROMISE scholars.  Mrs. Donna Nuzum, Director of Community Service Learning, will explain how PROMISE Scholars can participate in Community Service learning projects on campus and record the hours to meet the requirements of the scholarship.

PROMISE Scholars are encouraged to perform 20 hours of community service in high school or college as part of the responsibilities of their PROMISE Scholarship.
