Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College are observing International Education Week with three events intended to celebrate diversity and internationalization.
The events are co-sponsored by the International Student Organization and the International Education Committee.
"We are happy to be joining campuses across the nation this week to celebrate the role of international education in preparing our students for the future," said Dr. Erin Hippolyte, Study Abroad Coordinator and liaison with the FSU Faculty Senate International Education Committee.
"The purpose of the events is to appreciate the internationalization of our campus community and to celebrate the diversity as a collaborative effort between Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College," said Dr. Tadashi Kato, International Programming Coordinator and faculty advisor to the International Student Organization.
An International Exhibition is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, in Gym 1 of the Falcon Center. The exhibition will feature table displays from various countries, study abroad information, a ballroom dance presentation and international snacks.
