Five Local Winners Named in NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Contest
More than 12 participants took part in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition hosted by the Department of Intramurals of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Winners were selected in five age categories and are as follows: ages 6-7, Dominic Viani, Fairmont, 96 feet 11 inches; ages 8-9, Zachary Frazier, Fairmont, 170 feet 8 inches; ages 10-11, Koby Kiefer, Bridgeport, 198 feet 4 inches; ages 12-13, Jeff May Jr., Flemington, 238 feet 8 inches; and ages 14-15, Steven Martonosi, Mannington, 206 feet 11 inches. The total score is the cumulative total of one punt, one pass and one kick.
These five winners will move on to a Sectional Competition, where they could qualify for the Team Championship competition to be held Nov. 21 at Heinz Field in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders game.
The NFL Punt, Pass and Kick football competition allows youth to showcase their talents in punting, passing and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy. The National NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition is administered by NFL Properties LLC.
This local competition is officially licensed by NFL Properties LLC, but none of the NFL, its member clubs, NFL Ventures L.P. or any of their respective affiliates or subsidiaries are sponsoring or operating the local PPK or will have any liability or responsibility for any claims arising in connection with participation in the local PPK.
