Jazz Ensemble Concert Tonight in Wallman Hall
The Fairmont State University Jazz Ensemble will present a concert today, Dec. 1, with special guest vocalist Elizabeth Wotring-Nelson.
The concert is planned for 8 p.m. today, Dec. 1, in the Wallman Hall Theatre at FSU. Admission is free and open to the public.
Selections for the concert will include "Groove Merchant," "Dancing in the Dark," "Laura," "Lot of Livin' to Do," "Pegasus," "Christmas Time is Here," "Early Morning" and "Pennsylvania 6-5000."
The ensemble is directed by Dr. Valarie Huffman. Playing saxophones are Amy Phillips, Trey Hefner, Jay Leeper, Ashton Cutright and Tim Curry. Playing trumpets are Chris Schoo, Amy Prenatt, Jess McIntyre and Jennifer Adams. Playing Trombones are Val Huffman and Dori Plutzner. Kim Henry will perform on piano, Zak Kniceley on guitar, Corey Kovach on bass, Jimmy Halpenny on drums, Dave Allen on drums and congas and Michael Robinson on drums, auxiliary percussion and vibes.
