Meet the Candidates Town Hall Forum Oct. 30

Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College are hosting a Meet the Candidates Town Hall Forum at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Falcon Center third floor conference rooms.

The event is sponsored by Student Government, College Republicans, Young Democrats, the Gay Straight Alliance and the Political Science Association.

Any interested candidate who is running for a local, county, district or statewide office is welcome to attend to meet FSU and Pierpont students, faculty and staff. The event is also open to the general public. The participating candidates will introduce themselves, state their objectives and, time permitting, respond to questions from a moderator and/or audience members. Student Government President Kelley Bronson will serve as emcee for the event.

Candidates who would like to attend should call (304) 367-4643 to RSVP by Oct. 28. Candidates should provide their name, the title of the office they are seeking, phone number and e-mail or fax number in order to receive further details. Candidates who cannot attend but would like to send an official representative may do so by calling the same number and leaving contact information.
