Community Music Program Accepting Students

Fairmont State University's Community Music Program is accepting new students through June 30 for its summer term 2008.

Private lessons for those age 5 through adult are available in piano, voice, guitar, violin, cello, percussion and flute. Beginners and advanced students are accepted. Classes are offered at FSU's main campus in Fairmont and at the Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg. All styles of music are taught by highly qualified teachers. Lessons are scheduled to accommodate students summer schedules.

The "Born to Entertain Children's Summer Camp is planned for 5-8 p.m. June 22-28 in FSU's Wallman Hall. The camp is for children ages 5-12. Students will learn vocal techniques, stage movement and singing performance. The theme will be "Golden Oldies" and "Songs of Today." A performance showcase will be held at the end of the camp. Beginning to experienced singers are welcome. Registration for the camp is due by June 15.
