Bronson Named Student Government President
A Winchester, Va., resident has been named Student Government President at Fairmont
State University.
Kelley Bronson, the daughter of Mike and Mary Bronson of Winchester, was voted president
by the student body in March. Bronson is a 2006 graduate of Handley High School, where
she was president of the Science Club.
In April, she organized a ceremony on campus in remembrance of those killed at Virginia
Tech in 2007. In May, she represented the student body and presented remarks at the
dedication ceremony for the new Engineering Technology Building.
Bronson is a Cadet Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. She has won the Life Saving Award
and received the Air Force Association Cadet of the Year of the Winchester Composite
Squadron.
Bronson is an aviation major at Fairmont State and has recently taken her first solo
flight. She was named as Outstanding Member of the Year by Student Government and
is currently a Residence Advisor (RA) for Morrow Hall.
Fairmont State University, including Pierpont Community & Technical College, has an
