Work of Art Faculty on Exhibit
Work by artists Sara Shawger and Jennifer Yerdon will be on view Feb. 5-15 in the
Brooks Gallery of Wallman Hall. The opening reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. on
the first day of exhibition. The artists will be available to speak about their work.
The event is free and open to the public.
The newest members of the Fairmont State University Art faculty are Yerdon and Shawger,
who joined the Department of Art in the fall 2007 semester. Yerdon works in drawing,
print and painting media. For this exhibition, she will create an installation in
the gallery by drawing directly on the walls.
Shawger's surfaces, which reveal subtle depths in the drawing, draw the viewer into
the compositions. Her landscapes will be featured in the exhibition.
