SIFE Team Sponsors Credit Report Seminar
The Fairmont State University Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team is sponsoring
an "Understanding Your Credit Report" seminar on Monday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 6:45 p.m.
in Room 148 of the Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg.
The first step to protecting or improving your personal credit is to learn how to
read and understand your credit report. Many people do not understand where their
credit information is stored, what goes into their credit report, how long information
remains on the credit report, how, and by whom, the credit report is used, or how
to correct inaccuracies found on their credit report. The seminar presenter, Larry
Wilson of CBC INNOVIS, will help provide answers to these and many other questions
about credit reports. Time will be provided for questions and answers.
Participants should bring a recent copy of their credit report so they can ask questions
of personal interest regarding information they find on their report. A free copy
of your credit report may be obtained by going to AnnualCreditReport.com at this web
address: www.annualcreditreport.com
This seminar is open to the public. Pre-registration is not necessary, but is encouraged.
To register for the "Understanding Your Credit Report" seminar, contact Dr. Jack Kirby
