Debate Team Wraps Up Season
The Fairmont State University Intercollegiate Debate Team completed its regular season,
competing in tournaments at Ohio University and Ohio State University.
At Ohio State, sophomore Dusty VanPelt advanced to the final round, placing second
overall. He will now face the top debaters in the country at The National Forensics
Association National Tournament in Georgia in April.
Freshman Dominick Pellegrin and junior Justin Mitchell also competed, and each posted
wins at both tournaments. Other members of the team include Seanna Keefe, Dana Sayre
and Stephen Sundahl.
