Entries are now being sought for the North Central West Virginia Science, Energy and Engineering Fair to be held Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, at Fairmont State.

Students in grades six-12 are eligible to enter projects in the following categories: energy, engineering, botany, zoology, chemistry and biochemistry, earth and space science, physics, math and computers; medicine, health and microbiology; and behavioral and social science. Project entries should include laboratory, field or theoretical research. Projects may be individual or team projects. Team projects are encouraged for the engineering category, and individual projects are encouraged for the other categories. The fair will have two divisions; a Junior Division (Grades six through nine) and a Senior Division (Grades 10-12).

The judges will be looking for creative ability, scientific thought and projects that promote engineering goals, thoroughness, skill and clarity. In the Junior Division, the judges will also be looking for dramatic value and personal involvement.
