International Film Series Continues
The International Film Series continues for the spring 2007 semester with films from
Germany, France, China, Japan and Mexico.
All films will be shown at 7 p.m. in Multi-Media Room B of the Ruth Ann Musick Library.
All films not in English have English subtitles, so no knowledge of a foreign language
is required to enjoy the films. Admission to the series is free and open to the public.

February 12
"Run Lola Run"
(Lola rennt'Germany)
What if someone you love's life depended on your split-second decisions? With 20
minutes to raise the 100,000 Deutschmarks her boyfriend lost, Lola gets creative in
this high intensity action movie. (Twyker 1998)
February 26
"The Gleaners and I"
(Les Glaneurs et la glaneuse' France)
They say that one man's trash is another man's treasure. This documentary explores
the lives of "gleaners," people who exist off of the things other throw away. This
film is shown in preparation for the presentation by Jeanette Walls. (Varda 2000)
March 19
"Country Teachers"
(Feng huang qin' China)
Teaching is not an easy job, especially when there is little money available for
classroom essentials. Exploring teaching in primary and secondary country schools
in China, this documentary is shown in preparation of Ha Jin's visit as part of the
Celebration of Ideas Lecture Series. (Qun Hi 1994)
April 16
"Cowboy Bebop, The Movie"

What if the fate of humanity was left in the hands of bounty hunters? When a virus
is released on a busy street, Spike, Jet Faye and Edward immediately join the hunt
for the one responsible in this movie based on the popular Japanese anime. (Watanabe

April 30
"Only with Your Partner"
(Solo Con tu Pareja' Mexico)
Can you really get too much of a good thing? Alfonso Cuar'n, director of "Harry Potter
and the Prisoner of Azcaban," explores this question in this comedy about an ill-fated
Casanova who gets a taste of his own medicine. (1991)
