ACT Preparation Class Offered
High school juniors and seniors have an opportunity to potentially increase their
ACT scores through a specially designed course offered by Pierpont Community & Technical
College of Fairmont State University's Community Education Program.
The course is designed to teach the reading, English, science, math and writing skills
that students will need to do well on the ACT national college admission exam. Test-taking
skills will be emphasized. The course features Kaplan materials and certified instructors.
The cost includes all books and materials. Enrollment is limited, and pre-registration
is required.
"Whether students are trying to achieve the PROMISE Scholarship, applying for competitive
college programs or seeking to maximize their potential and opportunities, this class
will help them meet their goals," said Ron Weist, Director of the Community Education
Program.

Section A Fairmont
12 Sessions

Times and Dates: 5-8:30 p.m., Thursdays, Feb. 15-April 12, and 8 a.m.-noon, Saturdays,
March 10, 24 and April 7
Location: Center for Workforce Education, Fairmont
Section B Clarksburg
12 Sessions
Cost: $295
Times and Dates: 5-8:30 p.m., Mondays, Feb. 5-April 9, and 8 a.m.-noon, Saturdays,
March 24 and April 7
