Endowment Honors S.M. Kisner Family

Jan 29, 2007

A scholarship fund in honor of the S.M. Kisner Family has been established at Fairmont State University through the generosity of an anonymous donor.

The scholarship will be awarded yearly to a non-traditional student enrolled in the Fairmont State University School of Nursing and Allied Health Administration.

By contributing toward a new endowment, the benefactors of the S.M. Kisner Endowed Fund will receive additional Foundation matching funds, through Phase II of the Strengthening Institutions Endowment Challenge. The Strengthening Institutions Endowment Challenge is a program funded by the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc., designed to build programming and capacity at Fairmont State.

Strengthening Institutions: Phase II provides a Fairmont State Foundation, Inc., donor with a 25 percent match of their private funds, up to $100,000. Interest earned through the endowment builds capacity to support scholarship, academic programs, faculty development and capital building projects at FSU.

If you would like to contribute to the S.M. Kisner Endowed Fund, please send your tax-deductible gift to: The S.M. Kisner Endowed Fund at 1201 Locust Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554. Additionally, if you would care participate in the Strengthening Institutions Endowment Challenge: Phase II by creating a personal endowment of $25,000 or more, please contact K.
