CMP Appoints New Voice Teacher

The Fairmont State University Community Music Program has appointed Elizabeth Wotring-Nelson as Artist Teacher of Voice. She will teach CMP classes at the Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg and on the FSU main campus.

Wotring-Nelson is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music and Greenville College of Illinois with an M.M. in Musical Theatre. She has served as Children's Performing Arts Teacher/Director; Youth Performing Arts Teacher/Director and Private Voice Instructor in Minneapolis, at the Boston Arts Academy and at the Minnehaha Academy Summer Musical Theatre Camp Director at Saint Paul, Minn.

As Director of Worship and Arts, she has had experience supervising and directing music, drama, dance and visual arts at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, Forest Lake, Minn. As a performing artist, she has appeared in secondary and principle roles in musical theatre productions.

As a voice teacher, Wotring-Nelson's experience in the vocal studio includes teaching musical theatre, classical and jazz performance and repertoire, including one-on-one private voice lessons for ages 12-adult. She will be accepting students on Tuesdays at the Caperton Center and Wednesdays on the main campus at FSU.
