Debate Team Begins Season
The Fairmont State University Intercollegiate Debate Team began its season on Oct.
14 and 15 at the West Chester University Rose Bowl Tournament in West Chester, Pa.
The tournament included 20 schools from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey,
Virginia and West Virginia.
The team competed in Lincoln Douglas policy debate, posting wins on both the affirmative
and negative sides. Competing at West Chester were Stephan Sundahl of Fairmont, Dusty
VanPelt of Barrackville, Dominick Pellegrin of Fairmont and Justin Mitchell of Weston.
Other team members include Dana Sayre of Charleston and Seanna Keefe of Parkersburg.
