Benefit Baby Shower Planned for March 30
The Apparel Design class in Fairmont State Community & Technical College's Fashion
Design program, under the direction of instructor Michelle Walker, will display original
infant and children's apparel designs at an exhibit-benefit baby shower to be held
at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in Room 126 of the Education Building.

Following a theme, "Under the Sea," Walker's 26 students designed summer and spring
apparel ranging from pajamas to swim wear and every-day attire for infants through
pre-teens. Some of the students are creating the garments from their designs and will
                        have those on display.

The event will provide the campus community and anyone else who is interested in
attending the opportunity to view the students' work and also to participate in a
benefit shower for a local family expecting 3-week-old triplet boys. Walker said the
event is a great way to support the efforts of the students and to celebrate new lives
                        and new beginnings.

Gifts for the triplets or donations are welcome at the event. Refreshments will be
provided. Those planning to attend should RSVP to Michelle Walker at (304) 367-4271.
Donations and gifts will also be accepted in Room 137, Education Building.
