Children's Showchoir to Perform
Fairmont State's Children's Showchoir, Summer 2005 Edition, will present a showcase performance of music studied during the summer term classes for "Born to Entertain."
The performance, "Nothin' But the Blues," will feature 13 young vocalists from Fairmont
and surrounding areas. The showcase, planned for 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at the
Wallman Hall Theatre, will feature an historical synopsis of the history of blues
music written especially for children's voices. The conductor for the performance
will be Anne Schooley, founder and director of "Born to Entertain."
The Children's Showchoir, designed for those ages 5-12, rehearses and studies annually
with the summer program of studies of the Community Music Program.
