Giant Eagle/FS Golf Tournament Results Announced

The 13th annual Giant Eagle/Fairmont State Golf Tournament took place Friday, May 20, at Bridgeport Country Club, featuring a full field of participants.

Sponsorships for this event hit historic levels, with net proceeds in excess of $ 30,000 --all of which are designated for Fairmont State athletic scholarships through the Lettermen's Athletic Scholarship Fund.

This long-standing event is chaired by Gary Cox and enjoys title sponsorship from Len Nossokoff Sr., Len Nossokoff Jr. and Craig Nossokoff of Giant Eagle, Inc. Man Tech Enterprise Integration Center serves as a special donor, and the following businesses serve as sponsors: BB & T, Pepsi, R & E Electric, Thrasher Engineering, Inc., The Times-West Virginian, United Bank, WVHTC Foundation and WesBanco Bank, Fairmont. In addition, 46 local businesses served as tee sponsors, with an additional 16 businesses, resorts and country clubs providing gifts, donations and assistance.
