Humbert to Present Presidential Lecture
As part of the Fairmont State Presidential Lecture Series, Dr. Roxann Humbert will present "Teaching the 21st Century Learner."
The 16th annual lecture will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in Multi-media
Room A of the Ruth Ann Musick Library. Admission to the event is free and open to
the public.
Humbert's presentation will focus on the challenges that higher education must meet:
faculty who are comfortable with new strategies, assignments and approaches to learning;
students who are prepared to be savvy technology users; and classrooms that provide
equipment and opportunity in which students become prepared for 21st century jobs.
The Presidential Lecture Series was established in 1989 to provide faculty the opportunity
to share their work with colleagues and members of the community. After the lecture,
there will be a reception in the library lobby.
