been supported by Fairmont State and the Nepali communities and friends of Nepal in
America and Canada including the ANA, NPPA and the Association of Nepalese in Midwest
America (ANMA).
Currently, 10 Nepali students have received scholarships under the international
scholarship program and the joint scholarship partnership of the Foundation. Since
the inception of this program, 21 Nepali students have received scholarships under
the Nepal scholarship and the international scholarship programs of the FS Foundation
and the university. Eighteen Nepali students are currently enrolled at Fairmont State.
Dr. Tulasi Joshi is the coordinator of the Nepal Scholarship Program and a faculty
member at Fairmont State.
“This program not only assists Nepali students’ study in America, but it also promotes
international education in West Virginia,” Joshi said. “I admire the decision of Veda
Joshi and his family members for their vision and selection of this program. I also
would like to express appreciation and gratitude to others who have supported the
program, including the ANA, ANMA and NPPA.”
