Town & Gown Summer Season Announced
Fairmont State's 2005 Town & Gown summer season will feature two shows that appeal
to families and music lovers.
The season begins with a new take on the 'Ugly Duckling Story' with the musical 'Honk!'
Directed by Dr. Francene Kirk and featuring Dr. Steve Johnson as Musical Director,
the play will feature children and adults from Fairmont and surrounding communities.
The show will be performed June 10-12 and 16-18 in the Wallman Hall Theatre.
The second show will be 'Always...Patsy Cline,' featuring Stephanie Adlington as
the late country singer Patsy Cline and Cathy O'Dell as Louise, a fan. The show revolves
around the music of Patsy Cline. Originally produced as a 45- minute cabaret performance,
the show has been expanded to include 27 of Cline's most memorable songs. The character
Louise, a fan of the singer, acts as the narrator of the events presented to the audience.
Performances will be held at Prickett's Fort July 15-17 and 22-24.
