Money Conference for College Students Set
A conference at Fairmont State on April 21 will help educate college students about
financial planning. The Money Conference for College Students is the first of its
kind for West Virginia.
The event will be part of State Treasurer John Perdue's West Virginia Money Conference
series, which has been offering free, all day conferences for over three years and
has reached more than 4,500 people. This program expands on the successful "Women
& Money Conferences."
Dee Lee, a nationally recognized financial author and speaker will lead the conferences.
The series starts April 21 at Fairmont State with the college conference and ends
Oct. 21 with a Women & Money Conference at Chief Logan State Park Conference Center
in Logan, W.Va.
Lee covers a gamut of financial topics, from personal financial organization to investments
and retirement planning. Those attending will receive a free continental breakfast,
lunch, travel bag and a copy of either "The Money Book" or "Women & Money," both written
by Lee. Private sponsorships are raised to cover expenses for the events.
