FS to Host Choral Reading

The Fairmont State Music Department will host a choral reading session at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21. The event is sponsored by the student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.

Public school choir directors, college music education students and church musicians are invited to attend. Other interested singers, including high school students, are welcome.

Twelve recent choral works have been selected by the FS students for reading at the session. Various voicings of secular and sacred pieces are represented, including mixed, men's and women's choirs. The music has been provided by J.W. Pepper & Son Inc. and coordinated by Pepper of Valley Forge. Pepper tote bags and catalogs will be available in limited quantities, along with the packet of music for 25 people in attendance.
