Date Set for Giant Eagle/FS Golf Tournament
The 13th annual Giant Eagle/Fairmont State Golf Tournament is set for Friday, May
20, at Bridgeport Country Club.
"This event has been a sellout for years," said Gary Cox, chairman of the tournament
planning committee. "Tournament prizes and door prizes, as well as the opportunity
to play one of the area's finest golf courses, keep this event as one of the most
popular in North Central West Virginia. The money raised benefits the Fighting Falcons."
Proceeds from the tournament go toward athletic scholarships at Fairmont State.
The tournament will be in a two-person scramble format, and teams will be put into
three flights according to handicaps. Information and registration forms will soon
be sent to previous participants.
