America/FS Counts Offers Math Tutoring
In conjunction with the Fairmont State GEAR UP Partnership, the America/Fairmont State
Counts program is planning for its spring session to be held at Fairmont State.
This free math tutoring program, supervised by Pam Kabulski and coordinated by Donna
Yergovich Nuzum, is offered to students in grades five through 12 who are experiencing
math difficulties.
The one hour/once a week sessions, which run for eight weeks, are offered Tuesdays
at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. or Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. The program starts Tuesday
and Wednesday, Feb. 22-23, and runs through Tuesday and Wednesday, April 19-20.
The program is structured to emphasize math homework difficulties and/or specific
math difficulties.
Fairmont State tutors, proficient in math, aid each child in developing his/her math
skills. Pam Kabulski, a Marion County math teacher, is the on-site supervisor for
the program and will be present to assist each tutor and student.
Pre-registration is necessary for students to attend the program.
