Fairmont State invites qualifying students from around the world to apply for one of the few partial-tuition scholarships which are offered each year. Each scholarship provides a waiver of $5,000 ($2,500 a semester). The scholarship remains in place for 8 semesters, which is the length of time normally required for graduation.
Students must maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA, receive 30 hours each academic year, and be in overall good standing. Selection of scholarship recipients is made semesterly, which bases its decision primarily upon academic performance.
International Students may also complete the General Scholarship Application through financial aid to be considered for other scholarships. All scholarship recipients are still required by the university to provide proof of their ability to meet cost of living expenses while attending Fairmont State.
