The following dress is unacceptable for all faculty, staff, and students on the premises
of the Fairmont State University Aviation Center of Excellence. This policy is enforced
at the discretion of ACE Senior Staff and any questions regarding the policy should
be directed to the Director or Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot.
- Form-fitting pants, i.e., yoga, or leggings, cut-off pants, sweat pants, sweat shorts,
or athletic shorts
- Dresses, skirts or shorts hemlines should be measured by finger length - How do you
measure finger length? Clothing hem should be as long as or longer than the end of
your middle finger when it is resting straight against your thigh.
- Tight clothing (Clothing must be of sufficient size to conceal undergarments, tattoos,
piercings, and/or exposed skin and waistbands must be worn at waist level)
- Midriff tops, halters, tops with revealing necklines. Single or multiple tank tops/muscle
shirts unless covered by an acceptable jacket, shirt or sweater
- T-shirts with inappropriate verbiage or pictures
- Sandals, flip flops, crocs (only closed-toe shoes)
- Torn or tattered clothing
- Earrings worn by females will present a professional appearance
- Gauged earrings will not be worn at any time
- No facial piercings of any sort
- Hair color will be natural color, no dye or fadish styles
