These items offer a glimpse of the material culture that provides a sense of place for the university and community. For over 100 years, the Theatrical Arts have had a significant and historic place in the life of Fairmont State University. Masquers, the Student Theatre Organization, marked its 100th anniversary in 2023. Additionally, the Collegiate National Theatre Honorary, Alpha Psi Omega, was founded on this campus and now has thousands of members in all 50 states. The connection between the Theatre Department and the Fairmont Community has deep roots. The Turley Center “Ballroom” will be used as a gallery space.
