WEATHER ALERT - All campuses closed on Mon. Jan. 6.

To ensure the safety of our employees during the upcoming winter storm, theUniversity (all campuses) will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6.   

The Falcon Center and campus recreation will be open today (1/5/25) from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. The dining hall will be operating on brunch hours, with brunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and dinner from 5 – 6 p.m. Tomorrow (1/6/25), campus recreation will be closed. The dining hall will be open for continental breakfast from 10 - 11 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m.  - 1 p.m., and dinner from 5 - 6 p.m.  

Additional weather updates will be communicated through our emergency alert system, social media, and the University website.

Test of Essential Academic Skills 

TEAS is short for Test of Essential Academic Skills. It’s a 4-part on-line assessment of Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English.

We will accept TEAS V and/or TEAS VI (ATI TEAS).

Required Score

You will need to obtain a minimum composite score of 60 on the exam.

How Often Can the TEAS Be Taken?

You may take the TEAS test twice in any calendar year (Jan. 1 to Dec. 31).

How Long are TEAS Scores Good For?

TEAS scores are valid for two years prior to the beginning of the academic year for which you are applying. ONLY SCORES TAKEN WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME WILL BE CONSIDERED. For example, if you are applying for the fall 2022 or spring 2023 term, your TEAS scores are good if taken on, or after, August 1, 2020.

Where Can I Take the TEAS Exam?

Assessment Technologies Inc. (ATI) The exam is taken remotely.  You will need to pay to have your score sent to Fairmont State University.  For more information visit Assessment Technologies Inc's website.  
At Another University Have scores sent to Fairmont State TEAS.  There is a cost to have your scores sent to Fairmont State University.
