Mission and Vision

The mission of Fairmont State University College of Nursing is to serve as a leader in improving the health of West Virginia and the global community through a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Our vision is to be a center for excellence in nursing education where graduates are capable of providing care for and changing the health of the world.

The College of Nursing accomplishes its mission by offering an Associate of Science in Nursing program, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and a School Nurse Certification Program.

About the College of Nursing

Fairmont State University's College of Nursing is committed to providing you with the best possible nursing education so you can find a job, stand out, and make a real difference caring for the people in your community. All of our classes are taught by our exceptional faculty of teacher-mentors; at Fairmont State, you won't be taught by a graduate student, but by experienced professors who are as adept in the classroom as they are on the hospital floor.

To ensure that the education we provide meets the highest standards, our Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree programs have attained state and/or national accreditation. These high standards have helped our graduates report a 100% employment rate after completion of our programs.
