Fairmont State has named Crystal L. Stevens as Director of Alumni Affairs. Stevens will be responsible for Fairmont State alumni affairs and events, including all alumni activities during Homecoming.

Stevens served on the Board of Directors for the Fairmont Community Development Partnership, 612 MAC Community Center and Marion County Parks and Recreations; participated in Leadership Marion XIV; served as a committee chairperson for the Three Rivers Festival and Regatta in Fairmont from 1997-99 and participated in Main Street Fairmont's Fourth of July Celebration Committee.

"Crystal Stevens is a great addition to Fairmont State," said K. Jean Ahwesh, Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc. "Her experience and commitment to the community are valuable resources for the growing community of Fairmont State alumni and friends."

Stevens comes to Fairmont State from West Virginia University, National Environmental Services Center in Morgantown with 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, outreach, event planning and database management. She is a 2003 graduate of Fairmont State and is currently pursuing her master's degree in integrated marketing communication through WVU.

"I am so pleased to have been given this opportunity," Stevens said. "Fairmont State's Weekend College program allowed me to receive my education while working full-time and raising my family. I'm proud to be an alumna of Fairmont State, and I look forward to working closely with other alumni and the Fairmont State Alumni Association."

Stevens currently resides in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown with her three sons: Justin, Trey and Jordan.
