D&G Machine/FS Golf Classic Is Sept. 23

The 15th annual D&G Machine/Fairmont State Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 23, at Green Hills Country Club in Everson.

"Proceeds from the event directly support all 15 Falcon athletic teams in the form of scholarship assistance," said Scott Gines, Fairmont State Athletic Director. "On behalf of our 280 student-athletes and 35 athletic staff members, I invite you to join us as we connect, compete and enjoy a beautiful course to help advance the competitiveness of Fairmont State athletics."

This year's title sponsor is once again D&G Machine, and the special donor is AXA Financial Advisors. The tournament co-sponsor is Pepsi Cola of Fairmont. Associate sponsors are Aladdin Food Management Services Inc., HealthWorks Rehab. & Fitness, U.S. Machine, Inc. and Wishing Well Manor/Wishing Well Health Center.

Tee sponsors are Elliott Land Development, Inc.; Fresh Ideas, Inc.; Mountain State Enterprises; Bond Insurance Agency, Inc. (Fairmont/Morgantown); Hadco, Inc.; Gary K. The entry fee per golfer is $65, which includes golf fees, cart fee and lunch. Golfers can register as a foursome or can sign up individually and be assigned to a foursome. Participation is limited to 100 golfers.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with registration and a buffet lunch. The shotgun start to the four-person scramble will take place at 12:30 p.m. followed by awards and closing ceremonies at 5:30 p.m.
