FSU Names Executive Assistant to the President
Fairmont State University has named Juanita "Nita" Coleman as Executive Assistant to the President. She began her duties on Friday, Oct. 1.
"I am pleased to have Nita as part of the staff of the President's Office and know she will represent the office well and help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently," said Dr. Tom Krepel, FSU President.
Prior to her employment at FSU, Coleman served as the assistant to the Physical Plant Director at Alderson-Broaddus College. She graduated from Fairmont State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Corporate and Industrial Communication at West Virginia University.
"I am very excited to be part of the campus community and look forward to helping to advance the goals and priorities of the President's Office," Coleman said.
In her role as Executive Assistant to the President, Coleman serves as a liaison between the President's Office and internal and external constituency groups, coordinates and manages the president's calendar, performs clerical and secretarial services while being sensitive to confidential issues, assists with the president's correspondence and provides support for various projects reflecting the president's priorities and the university's mission and goals.
Coleman resides in Belington. She replaces Sherrie Strawderman, who served as Executive Secretary to the President until she entered phased retirement in June 2010.
