She has been a winner at the Bel Canto Competition, a finalist at The Palm Beach Opera Competition, a three-time regional finalist at the N.A.T.S. Ron Korbitz received Bachelor's and Master of Music Education degrees from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. He spent several years performing with local Chicago theatre groups at The Royal Castle Dinner Theater and Captain Dick's Voyage, where he was also the musical director. He has performed as a solo artist and chamber musician in Chicago and the suburbs and has also worked in the popular music world with groups like The Sound Connection and The Frank Pellico Orchestra. Korbitz is a collaborating author for the children's book "Mr. Everybody's Recorder Book," published by Myles Music, and is a recent contributor to the American String Teachers Association Journal. Currently, he is a faculty member at Brookdale School in Naperville, where he teaches K-5 general music and directs the chorus, choir chimes ensembles and guitar ensembles.

The duo has been charming audiences together since 1998. They have performed for some of the Chicago area's most prestigious concert series including Unity Temple, Fourth Presbyterian Church and the internationally renowned Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts. They have also performed recitals and concerts for many Chicago area colleges and groups like The Oak Park 19th Century Women's Club, Downers Grove Music Club and The Musicians Club of Women. The duo has been featured on the WFMT radio program "Live from Studio One" and has also appeared regionally for the Lake Geneva Lyric Opera Guild and nationally at the world famous Greenbrier Hotel as the featured artists for the West Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs. Their work together has consistently been received with great enthusiasm and their debut performance at Chicago's Symphony Center for a special WFMT broadcast was hailed "absolutely exquisite" by Chicago Symphony Orchestra president emeritus Henry Fogel.
