Fairmont State University is launching a comprehensive alumni verification project!
The Fairmont State Alumni Association has partnered with Publishing Concepts to collect alumni stories for the Oral History Project to celebrate the history of the campus experience through the years. The project will also help update contact information so we can effectively communicate with alumni. The company’s staff is trained to capture Fairmont State memories and will lead alumni through the process. Each story will be recorded, transcribed, and, along with submitted photos, published in a book that will be available for purchase. You do not need to purchase a book to participate.
Alumni will receive postcards and emails inviting them to call 1-866-546-7196 beginning May 3, 2024, to update information and tell their story. The Alumni Association will receive the audio recordings as well as the transcriptions, with the goal of making them available electronically in addition to the printed book.
