Welcome to the Falcon Family | On-Campus Welcome Wednesday & Online Registration | Orientation
Register for New Student Orientation
As a new Fairmont State University student, you are required to attend New Student Orientation. We have day and evening options for on-campus orientation, as well as a virtual orientation for those seeking a virtual option.
New Student Orientation is where you will officially become a student at Fairmont State University. This program will introduce you to our campus, services, programs, and academics. Additionally, New Student Orientation is where you will get your Spring or Fall class schedule.
By attending orientation for Fall 2022, students will have an opportunity to win a one-time $1000 scholarship to Fairmont State University! Be sure to register today!
Should I choose On-Campus or Online?
That’s up to you! We’ve created robust in-person and virtual orientation experiences to meet the needs of all our future Falcons. We have to admit, though, we’d love to see you in person, if possible – that way you get a sneak preview of what campus is like, and you can even ‘pre-walk' your daily schedule to get an idea of what your day might be like.

Online Orientation
Students who cannot attend one of the in-person Welcome Wednesday events must register for one of our online New Student Orientation events. We’ve packed all the information you would normally get during a Welcome Wednesday into an interactive online session.
If I attend an on campus orientation event, can my family come?
Yes! We encourage students to bring their support system to Welcome Wednesdays, and Saturday Orientations
If I am an incoming student in the Fall when I do attend orientation?
