The Falcon Center’s Snow & Inclement Weather Policy is designed to ensure the smooth operation of the center during inclement weather, emergencies, and/or class cancellations.
- If the governor declares a national, state, or local emergency, the campus will be closed and all college functions including those on campus but sponsored by other organizations will be canceled.
- If the Fairmont State campus is closed, the Falcon Center will make every attempt to keep the facilities open. This will be dependent on employee travel safety and available coverage so that the facility is safe and running efficiently. If the campus is closed, no intramurals, special events or fitness classes will take place – regardless of whether the facility remains open.
- In the event that the Falcon Center is closed, the website will be updated and a mass e-mail will be sent out notifying students and staff of the closure or reduced hours of the building.
- This snow policy is subject to change.
