Students Can Attend Free Money Conference
A conference at Fairmont State on April 21 will help educate college students about
financial planning. The Money Conference for College Students is the first of its
kind for West Virginia.
Dee Lee, a nationally recognized financial author and speaker, will lead the conference.
The event is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Colebank Hall gymnasium. Admission
is free, but registration is required.
Lee covers a gamut of financial topics, from personal financial organization to investments
and retirement planning. Those attending will receive a free continental breakfast,
lunch, travel bag and a copy of Lee's book, "Money: Your Personal Finance Guide."
The event will be part of State Treasurer John Perdue's West Virginia Money Conference
series, which has been offering free, all-day conferences for more than three years
and has reached more than 4,500 people. This program, created for those ages 18-28,
expands on the successful "Women & Money Conferences."
