Student Success Center

Fairmont State University has named Kaye Caplinger Widney as Vice President for Student Services, the chief enrollment management and student services officer for the University.

With almost 40 years of experience in higher education, Widney is an experienced supervisor and budget manager, having served as Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at West Virginia University and before that as Director of Financial Aid at Fairmont State.

As spring semester classes ended and students cleared out dorm rooms, faculty and staff located in the Turley Center had cleaning out to do of their own. Beginning this summer the Turley Center will undergo substantial renovation in order to create the Student Access and Success Center, which, when completed, will be the only center of its kind in the area.
