The celebration will be held on Friday, October 8 in Falcon Center Gym 1, with the doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and the program slated to begin at 4 p.m.

Fairmont State Extends Suspension of ACT/SAT Admissions Requirements

Students interested in attending Fairmont State University between now and the fall 2022 term are eligible to apply for admission without submitting an ACT or SAT score. Fairmont State announced the testing requirement waiver last fall due to situations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the University will continue to honor this admissions policy through the next enrollment cycle.

Fairmont State University Students to Participate in Appalachian Teaching Project

Fairmont State University has been selected to participate in the Appalachian Teaching Project sponsored by the Appalachian Regional Commission. Through the Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center, Fairmont State University students will partner with the Board of Trustees of the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont and the Marion County Convention and Visitor Bureau to create communication resources for the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

Fairmont State University has been recognized by the U.S. News & World Report for the second consecutive year, earning placements including a Top 50 Public School and a Top 100 Best Regional University in the Regional Universities South category. In addition, Fairmont State’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program was ranked among the Best Undergraduate Nursing category.
