The Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts is accepting registrations for summer camps, classes and private lessons in art, music and theater. Classes and lessons begin the week of June 2.

Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts is dedicated to providing students quality training and exposure to the arts. Instruction in visual art, music, theatre, dance, creative writing, and world languages enable students to appreciate, perform and create.
The Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts community students will present their Spring Gala Recitals at noon and 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Wallman Hall Theatre.
The FSU Academy will showcase students from its Art, Music and Theatre Departments during these performances. The Art Preparatory Department students will have their work displayed in the J.D. Brooks Gallery, located on the fourth floor of Wallman Hall throughout the day.

The Academy for the Arts, an initiative of the School of Fine Arts, offers private music instruction in all instruments including voice for ages 5 and older. The Academy also offers private music instruction in theatre, art and music.
As part of Fairmont’s celebration of West Virginia’s 150th birthday on June 20, Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts Music Preparatory Department students sang “The West Virginia Hills” and provided solo entertainment at Veterans Square.
The Fairmont State University Academy for the Arts is now accepting registrations for its fall term classes and music lessons. The Academy was formed last year and incorporates the former Community Music Program as the Music Preparatory Department and preparatory departments in other arts areas.
Building on a tradition of high quality community instruction in music, the Academy for the Arts, launched by the Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts, has expanded to include instruction in theatre, art, and dance.
