Welcome to your new home!

There's more to going to college than just attending classes: an essential and unforgettable part of your Fairmont State University experience comes from living on campus in one of our residence halls.

Learn About our Residence Halls

All Fairmont State students are required to live on campus for at least four consecutive semesters (though there are reasons for exemptions). When you move into your residence hall room or suite on our campus, you'll instantly be part of the Fairmont State University community. Not only will you live in close proximity to your classrooms and gathering places like the Falcon Center, but you'll also be surrounded by your fellow students, forming friendships that can last a lifetime.

At the Office of Residential and Student Life, we aim to create a safe and comfortable living environment in all of our residence halls. You'll be greeted with warmth and respect, and will have the opportunity to grow and learn while living here. Ultimately, we strive to provide an essential part of your educational experience by:

  • Teaching life skills.
  • Encouraging personal growth and development.
  • Fostering cultural awareness and embracing diversity.
  • Promoting a sense of self-worth.
  • Aiming to develop community consciousness, an idea of citizenship, and leadership skills.
  • Recognizing your responsibilities and autonomy as an adult.
  • Providing a professional staff to assist you in the attainment of your academic, personal, and career aspirations.
  • Developing educational, social, recreational, cultural, and spiritual programs.
  • Your new home on the Fairmont State University campus is waiting. We can't wait to show you around.
