The Center coordinates a variety of institutional and regional resources aimed at providing employers the training they need. A network of faculty, professional trainers and consultants are available to assist new and existing businesses.

Everyone knows ACT as the "testing people." For more than 40 years, they've provided millions of assessments for college admissions, career planning, and educational development. Now ACT is introducing a new initiative built on their growing expertise in the field of business - a full spectrum of testing services designed to improve America’s workforce. They call these services Workforce Productivity Solutions. The testing product is called WorkKeys.

The Center for Workforce Education provides a secure, proctored environment where various tests for certification and licensing are administered. We have partnered with industry-leading computer based testing companies to provide a wide variety of in-demand tests.

 


 

Small Business Development

Small Business Development

The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) promotes economic development in the Northcentral West Virginia region through a program of free business assistance. This assistance includes a variety of services such as business consulting, problem solving, business start-up assistance, loan packaging and small business training.

The SBDC is a division of the West Virginia Development Office and is funded by the state of West Virginia and the United States SBA.
