The Fairmont State University experience includes academic exploration and social involvement. A combination of departments provides extracurricular activities to enhance campus life.

We have more than 80 student organizations ranging from Student Government, professional and honorary organizations to fraternities, sororities, music groups, religious clubs and arts organizations.

About 50 percent of our students participate in Intramurals. We offer 24 sports such as flag football, softball, horseshoes and backgammon.

Campus life activities are coordinated with both on-campus students and commuter students in mind.

The Falcon Center is the hub of intramural activities and also where club sports are organized.
The Office of Retention and Recruitment is responsible for Greek life activities and opportunities.
Colleges, schools and departments maintain coordination for specific academic organizations and fraternities.
Residence Life assistants plan and implement academic, holiday and just-for-fun events year round.
