Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has appointed a new member to the Fairmont State University Board of Governors. Aaron L. Hawkins of Fairmont, a 1971 graduate of Fairmont State, attended his first board meeting on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The Fairmont State University School of Fine Arts will host the fall 2014 West Virginia Art Educators Association members art exhibition in the Brooks Memorial Gallery, located on the fourth floor of Wallman Hall in October.

Art educators from across the state will display drawings, paintings, sculpture, fiber arts and more from Oct. 7 through Nov. 14. The opening exhibition will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14. Admission is free and open to the public.
